Please Untie the Knots

April 21, 2018

I originally wrote this prayer in March 2010 during a time of revelation from Father regarding my identity as a child of God. Learning what that identity is has released me from so many ‘knots’. I updated it and include it here as it is my fervent desire for each of you.

Father:

Please untie the knots that are in our minds, our hearts and in our lives.

Remove the HAVE nots, the CAN nots, and the DO nots that we have in our minds.

Erase the WILL nots, MAY nots, MIGHT nots that may find a home in our hearts.

Release us from the COULD nots, WOULD nots and SHOULD nots that obstruct our lives.

And most of all, Father, I ask that you remove from our minds, our hearts and our lives, all the AM nots that we have allowed to hold us back, especially the thought that I am not good enough.

Amen.

Who you TRULY are when you accept His wonderful gift by believing in Him

1. Sons [daughters]; not Sinners

He predestined us to adoption as sons through Jesus Christ to Himself,

according to the kind intention of His will…

Ephesians 1:5

The ‘stuff’ in your life, your past, does not define you; Father does. And He calls you His child! That’s your label. That's who you are. Not a sinner but a child.

2. Someone He let His Son die for

knowing that you were not redeemed with perishable things like silver or gold …but with precious blood, as of a lamb unblemished and spotless, the blood of Christ.

1 Peter 1:18-19

That gives you value. How much you are willing to pay for something determines its value. Your value to Father exceeds silver and gold. He willingly paid for you with the life of His Son. Who would you be willing to give up a child for? Me neither. See how valuable you are?

3. New Creation

Therefore if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creature;

the old things passed away; behold, new things have come.

2 Cor. 5:17

Like I said under #1, your past does not define you. It’s not too late. You have not ‘screwed up’ too badly. Once accepting Jesus, you are a new person, your past is gone! Read that again, ‘Therefore if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creature; the old things passed away; behold, new things have come.’

That’s who you are! Don’t call dirty what God has made new!

4. Accepted and Loved

Therefore, accept one another, just as Christ also accepted us to the glory of God

Romans 15:7

Do you see it? Do you think it would be crazy for me and you to work hard, wearing ourselves out to gain or earn something we already have? Of course? Then it should be equally crazy to try to gain or earn God’s acceptance. Why? Because you already have it. See the verse again. ‘Already accepted us’ is past tense. Already done and He won’t change His mind.

You are accepted by and acceptable to God.

That’s who you are

Don’t let anyone tell you different.

When we see who we really are all the ‘knots’ come untied. We never again need to feel unworthy or lacking. We can trust when we know we are loved by a Father who is all powerful. And then, and only then, will we find our source of love, peace and the power to untie the knots.

Please believe this is the true you. And watch the ropes fall to the ground.
